Cyclops Traffic S For Windows

I installed the new LED module on my bike but only the low beam. I installed the Cyclops H7 LED on my 800GS and without a doubt, it is the best lighting upgrade available. My bike used to burn through 2-3 PIAA bulbs in a season and the mirror in the back of the enclosure was starting to darken a bit. The LED provides a lot of light and the darkening has stopped.I do notice that the light pattern is different from the PIAA bulb.

Since the LED emitters are on the sides, there is more light emission to either side of the bike. This is better from a riding perspective and while I was concerned about irritating on coming cars, have not had a single flash (while driving on low beam) since installing the LED bulb at the start of the year. Installation was very easy. The high beam bulb is anemic compared to low beam.I also installed the Cyclops long distance lights because I was not happy with the projection of my Dually D2 lights, which seem to project a lot of light but only for a short distance. The long distance lights are a lot larger and heavier than the D2 and would cause the Black Dog fender mount to break off the plastic. I found LC light mounts on Amazon and bought the AltRider upper crash bar to mount the lights.

The result is unbelievable. I run an amber lens filter on one light and the raw spot on the other. The combination provides high visibility and excellent mid to long distance lighting. With a Skene controller, the spots run at 10% in low beam and 100% at high beam. I do get flashed if oncoming traffic is exposed to the high beam but that's OK.Finally happy with the lighting package - and then I bought a 2016 1200GSA.

I'm betting that the Cyclops lighting package with the Skene controller is better than BMW factory light. No matter what, it's a great investment in safety. I guess that I an reviving this thread! I just purchased a cyclops LED system for my 2015 F700gs. After viewing the BestRest installation video, it looked like the installation might be a bit frustrating due to the limited space to poke my hand s and fingers into. SO, I decided to remove the entire headlight assembly and install the Cyclops from the comfort of my kitchen table. It was a great decision. Using both hands in a comfortable, seated position with full access to the headlight housing most likely made the whole process much, much easier.
